A trip to the National Gallery of Art May 2013

A Visit with Mom to the National Gallery of Art in

Washington DC

Took mom to preview two exhibits at the NGA.  She is taking some groups from

her community to the museum this summer.

So proud of her jumping right back in to her

passion and leading those tour groups again!

A Trip to Fort Foote Park

Today we visited Fort Foote Park which is near National Harbor.  Thought it looked like an interesting place for a hike since it was on the water and was the site of an old civil war fort.  Sadly, there was a ton of garbage down the end of the "secret" trail.  The fort part was pretty cool and the boys enjoyed seeing the gigantic canons.  I took some nice pictures of the water, driftwood, shells and the canons.  Hope you enjoy!
